According to me education system in India is good and we have many educational institutions for medicine, engg etc. But most of the students are interested in studying in USA, London for their higher studies only because in India those courses are not provided, if our Indian government try to provide even these courses in India then we have no need to go abroad to complete our education.

And lot of changes has to be taken in the education system. Many educational institutions has a habit of passing the students even though they are poor in studies only to increase the institution's reputation. Changes should not be taken only by the educational institutions but also there should be change in the way how the students are thinking now-a-days. Students are interested in scoring 80% and 90% irrespective of the knowledge what they are learned these many days. Instead of focussing on the percentage I think it is good to gain the knowledge of the subject.

Greet to one and all, in my point of view there are various areas in Indian education system which needs reformation, our education system is like read, give exams, get good marks and that?s it. Despite of various schemes by government and crores of rupee invested in this sector the status is not going up, according to a survey held by Indian government more than 50% students of eighth class not know to read and write.

Some ways to make education system quality oriented are:

. With theoretical knowledge the practical aspects of the subject should be taught.

. Encourage the students that how they will apply their knowledge in the welfare of mankind.

. Exam pattern should be such that the practical problem related to the subject should be given so that student can apply knowledge "practically".

. Like IAS exam "ITS" (INDIAN TEACHING SERVICE) exam should be held to select the most promising candidate to train the budding mind which is going to be the future of the country.

. Courses which are the need of today and future should be included.

By making our education system by this approach we really educate a student and not only trained them. Gandhi also told that "By education I mean all round development of the child".

Albert Einstein "Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid. ?that?s exactly happening to us, I think every single kid in our world has its own ability, but we, the stupid people, judge them in a poisonous way, we want to kill their ability and we force them to study all the subjects, all the topics, but this is not smart, if you put sachin to dance, and Bieber to bat, nobody can show their talents. So we must change this system as soon as possible.

Hello friends,

The educational system of India needs a serious reform. Firstly the theoretical system should be changed to a practical one as we see there a lot many institutes but they render students jobless even after having a degree. Secondly, there should be more awareness among the people about different fields as we find people have inner talent but they lack the proper guideline on how to use their talent.

Next, the quality of teachers also needs to improve by providing them with proper and timely training to build students capabilities. Also the reservation system needs a change as we see many times the unreserved category, in-spite of having a deep and thorough knowledge are unable to enter into best institutes.

All these reforms will surely help Indian educational system improve to a great extent.

Our Indian Education System needs serious reforms and changes. India needs reforms from basic itself. The preferred choice of learning is memorizing facts. Here to judge the student?s talent has only one parameter i.e. percentage in board examination. So students just mug up and indeed Indian education is spoon feeding. There is no practical knowledge in our education system. Our education system mainly focuses on theoretical knowledge.

Some basic theoretical knowledge is needed but our education system focuses more on the theoretical knowledge. The Indian education and social systems are very hard on kids and completely ignore their feelings, opinions and ambitions. Kids are pushed to study from the age of 3. Non performers are treated as dolts and ostracized by parents and society. My opinion is this , our education must be all round developer. It should be based on creative rather than mugging. Practical or Visualize education must be promoted.

According to me yes it need serious reforms. As far as my knowledge is concerned Education in India is worst compared with other countries. Here students only focus different subjects so that they can gain maximum marks or they pursue a career which they think will provide a better job in future. In India education is based on theoretical knowledge but not on deep practical or logical knowledge. If we compare with foreign countries along with theoretical knowledge they focus more on practical aspect and deep thinking. In India mostly the schools are run by:

1) Government sector: They have teachers who are well qualified but they take money and sleep like a dead snakes. So it will be very dangerous to admit your child in such schools. These schools will take admission of your child but will not take the responsibility of teaching you kid. Infrastructure is worst in such schools.

2) Private sector: Yes they do provide quality education but be ready to pay more. They take money which is not meant for public so they give education. But now days some private schools are just looting people and giving nothing.

Another aspect what I think should be added in Indian Education is that it should be uniform (no reservation) so that all could get equal opportunity. We need to ponder over this topic and should evolve some rule to overcome it.

I think the quality the Indian education system produced already is undeniable and really a great milestone. The other countries education system which producing the thinking brains as per Mr. Mohan is failing in the competition with our educated aspirants even in their own countries like US and UK or Australia or any other western country. I don't want to sound too rough but we all are here due to this education system and I think its not a mean achievement by any means. We have the habit of looking to others and saying they are perfect while we are not. Everybody has problem and every system is facing problem that doesn't mean we will change the system. The system never remains same and if you look carefully its totally changed from what we used to receive in our school days. So just be thankful and let?s be a part of it to produce more competent brains.

I also feel the same, educational system in India relies on rot learning and doesn't encourage new ideas. Because of this, students lose creativity and end up living to survive not surviving to live.
Moreover Indian system offers very limited career opportunities and fields like sports, dance etc. are often excluded from serious options as career. Not only is the system (government) responsible for this but somehow parents are also responsible for it. They should let their children pursue their own dreams and aspirations.

Yes I sincerely feel that the present system of education is wasting at least two years of student?s career by imparting same education twice in the intermediate and the degree level. Instead after completing the 10th class the courses must be designed in such a way that within two or three years, the candidate should be job ready and the private sectors or the govt must absolve him. If that kind of education is guaranteed, surely everyone is being benefited.

I fail to understand why my 9 years old son needs to learn social studies when he says I am interested in things that happened many years ago, who fought with whom and killed each other. He is right. My son is interested in Maths why does our system not allow parents, teachers to stream our kids at 8 years in which they are interested. They can be good scientist and professionals, sports person, whatever they enjoy the most in researching their interest. Children can spend more time in lab doing their own research rather than learning things that they are not interested.
